【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverscrosslinkedpolyethylene(PEX)pipethatisoutsidediametercontrolled,madeinnominalpipedimensionratios,andpressureratedforwateratthreetemperatures(seeAppendixX1).Includedarerequirementsandtestmethodsformaterial,workmanship,dimensions,burstpressure,hydrostaticsustainedpressure,excessivetemperaturepressure,excessivetemperature-pressure,environmentalstresscracking,stabilizerfunctionality,bent-pipehydrostaticpressure,oxidativestabilityinpotablechlorinatedwater,anddegreeofcrosslinking.Requirementsforpipemarkingsarealsogiven.1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixes,whichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.3Exceptfordimensions,thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Fordimensions,thevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesfornominalsizesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Note18212;Metricsized(SIunits)pipeshouldonlybejoinedwithcorrespondingmetricsizedfittings.Inchsizedfittingsshouldnotbeusedformetricsizedpipe.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
