【摘要】:Mixturesofflammableliquidsandnonflammableliquids,suchasanalcoholandwatermixture,areclassifiedbytheU.S.Governmentbythedefinitionofflammableliquidbasedonaclosed-cupflashpointmethod.Thus,mixturesmaybeclassedasflammableeventhoughtheydonotsustainburning.Thistestmethoddeterminestheabilityofaliquidmixturetosustainburningand,whenusedwithaclosed-cupflashpointmethod,indicatestheflammabilitycharacteristicsofthemixture.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedurefordeterminingthesustainedburningcharacteristicsofmixturesofflammableandnonflammableliquidsandtomixturescontainingliquidswithwidelydifferentflashpoints.Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefire-hazardorfire-riskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthetestmaybeusedaselementsofafire-hazardassessmentorafire-riskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardorfireriskofaparticularenduse.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
