【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedtomeasurethelevelofchlorine-containingcompoundsinpetroleumproducts.Thisknowledgecanbeusedtopredictperformanceorhandlingcharacteristicsoftheproductinquestion.Thistestmethodcanalsoserveasaqualitativetoolforthepresenceornon-detectionofchlorineinpetroleumproducts.Inlightoftheeffortsintheindustrytopreparechlorinefreeproducts,thistestmethodwouldprovideinformationregardingthechlorinelevels,ifany,insuchproducts.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofchlorineinlubricatingoilsandgreases,includingnewandusedlubricatingoilsandgreasescontainingadditives,andinadditiveconcentrates.Itsrangeofapplicabilityis0.1to50m%chlorine.Theprocedureassumesthatcompoundscontaininghalogensotherthanchlorinewillnotbepresent.1.2Thepreferredunitsaremasspercent.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Attentioniscalledtospecificwarningstatementsincorporatedinthetestmethod.
