【摘要】:Plating/coatingProcesses8212;Thistestmethodprovidesameansbywhichtodetectpossiblehydrogenembrittlementofsteelpartsduringmanufacturebyverifyingstrictcontrolsduringproductionoperationssuchassurfacepreparation,pretreatments,andplating/coating.Itisalsointendedtobeusedasaqualificationtestfornewplating/coatingprocessesandasaperiodicinspectionauditforthecontrolofaplating/coatingprocess.ServiceEnvironment8212;Thistestmethodprovidesameansbywhichtodetectpossiblehydrogenembrittlementofsteelparts(plated/coatedorbare)duetocontactwithchemicalsduringmanufacturing,overhaulandservicelife.ThedetailsoftestinginaserviceenvironmentarefoundinAnnexA5.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesmechanicaltestmethodsanddefinesacceptancecriteriaforcoatingandplatingprocessesthatcancausehydrogenembrittlementinsteels.Subsequentexposuretochemicalsencounteredinserviceenvironments,suchasfluids,cleaningtreatmentsormaintenancechemicalsthatcomeincontactwiththeplated/coatedorbaresurfaceofthesteel,canalsobeevaluated.1.2Thistestmethodisnotintendedtomeasuretherelativesusceptibilityofdifferentsteels.TherelativesusceptibilityofdifferentmaterialstohydrogenembrittlementmaybedeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodF1459andTestMethodF1624.1.3ThistestmethodspecifiestheuseofairmeltedAISIE4340steelperSAEAMS-S-5000(formerlyMIL-S-5000)heattreatedto260x2013;280ksi(poundspersquareinchx1000)asthebaseline.Thiscombinationofalloyandheattreatlevelhasbeenusedformanyyearsandalargedatabasehasbeenaccumulatedintheaerospaceindustryonitsspecificresponsetoexposuretoawidevarietyofmaintenancechemicals,orelectroplatedcoatings,orboth.Componentswithultimatestrengthshigherthan260x2013;280ksimaynotberepresentedbythebaseline.Insuchcases,thecognizantengineeringauthorityshalldeterminetheneedformanufacturingspecimensfromthespecificmaterialandheattreatconditionofthecomponent.Deviationsfromthebaselineshallbereportedasrequiredbysection12.1.2.Thesensitivitytohydrogenembrittlementshallbedemonstratedforeachlotofspecimensasspecifiedinsection9.5.1.4Testproceduresandacceptancerequirementsarespecifiedforsevenspecimensofdifferentsizes,geometries,andloadingconfigurations.1.5Pass/FailRequirements8212;Forplating/coatingprocesses,specimensmustmeetorexceed200husingasustainedloadtest(SLT)atthelevelsshowninTable1.1.5.1Theloadingconditionsandpass/failrequirementsforserviceenvironmentsarespecifiedinAnnexA5.1.5.2Ifapprovedbythecognizantengineeringauthority,aquantitative,accelerated(x2264;24h)incrementalstep-load(ISL)testasdefinedinAnnexA3maybeusedasanalternativetoSLT.1.6Thistestmethodisdividedintotwoparts.Thefirstpartgivesgeneralinformationconcerningrequirementsforhydrogenembrittlementtesting.Thesecondiscomposedofannexesthatgivespecificrequirementsforthevariousloadingandspecimenconfigurationscoveredbythistestmethod(seesection9.1foralistoftypes)andthedetailsfortestingserviceenvironments.1.7Thevaluesstatedinthefoot-pound-second(fps)systemininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionsto......
