【摘要】:EachFacilityRatingScale(seeFigs.1-3)inthisclassificationprovidesameanstoestimatethelevelofserviceabilityofabuildingorfacilityforonetopicofserviceabilityandtocomparethatlevelagainstthelevelofanyotherbuildingorfacility.Thisclassificationcanbeusedforcomparinghowwelldifferentbuildingsorfacilitiesmeetaparticularrequirementforserviceability.Itisapplicabledespitedifferencessuchaslocation,structure,mechanicalsystems,age,andbuildingshape.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatetheamountofvarianceofserviceabilityfromtargetorfromrequirement,forasingleofficefacilityorwithinagroupofofficefacilities.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethefollowing:4.4.1Serviceabilityofanexistingfacilityforusesotherthanitspresentuse.4.4.2Serviceability(potential)ofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt.4.4.3Serviceability(potential)ofafacilityforwhichremodelinghasbeenplanned.Useofthisclassificationdoesnotresultinbuildingevaluationordiagnosis.Buildingevaluationordiagnosisgenerallyrequiresaspecialexpertiseinbuildingengineeringortechnologyandtheuseofinstruments,tools,ormeasurements.Thisclassificationappliesonlytofacilitiesthatarebuildingconstructions,orpartsthereof.(Whilethisclassificationmaybeusefulinratingtheserviceabilityoffacilitiesthatarenotbuildingconstructions,suchfacilitiesareoutsidethescopeofthisclassification.)Thisclassificationisnotintendedfor,andisnotsuitablefor,useforregulatorypurposes,norforfirehazardassessmentnorforfireriskassessment.1.1Thisclassificationcoverspairsofscalesforclassifyinganaspectoftheserviceabilityofanofficefacility,thatis,thecapabilityofanofficefacilitytomeetcertainpossiblerequirementsforlayoutandbuildingfactors.1.2Withinthataspectofserviceability,eachpairofscales,shownin,areforclassifyingonetopicofserviceability.EachparagraphinanOccupantRequirementScale(see)summarizesonelevelofserviceabilityonthattopic,whichoccupantsmightrequire.ThematchingentryintheFacilityRatingScale(see)isatranslationoftherequirementintoadescriptionofcertainfeaturesofafacilitywhich,takenincombination,indicatethatthefacilityislikelytomeetthatlevelofrequiredserviceability.1.3TheentriesintheFacilityRatingScale(see)areindicativeandnotcomprehensive.Theyareforquickscanningtoestimateapproximately,quickly,andeconomically,howwellanofficefacilityislikelytomeettheneedsofoneoranothertypeofoccupantgroupovertime.Theentriesarenotformeasuring,knowing,orevaluatinghowanofficefacilityisperforming.1.4Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethelevelofserviceabilityofanexistingfacility.Itcanalsobeusedtoestimatetheserviceabilityofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt,suchasoneforwhichsingle-linedrawingsandoutlinespecificationshavebeenprepared.1.5Thisclassificationindicateswhatwouldcauseafacilitytoberatedatacertainlevelofserviceabilitybutdoesnotstatehowtoconductaserviceabilityratingnorhowtoassignaserviceabilityscore.ThatinformationisfoundinPracticeE1334.ThescalesinthisclassificationarecomplimentarytoandcompatiblewithPracticeE1334.Eachrequirestheother.

【摘要】:Astandardrecognizesthateffectiveness,safety,anddurabilityofaRBSdependsnotonlyonthequalityofthematerials,butalsoontheirproperinstallation.ImproperinstallationofaRBScanreducetheirthermaleffectiveness,causefirerisksandotherunsafeconditions,andpromotedeteriorationofthestructureinwhichtheyareinstalled.Specifichazardsthatcanresultfromimproperinstallationincludefirescausedby(1)heatbuildupinrecessedlightingfixtures,(2)deteriorationorfailureofelectricalwiringcomponents,and(3)deteriorationinwoodstructuresandpaintfailureduetomoistureaccumulation.Thisstandardprovidesrecommendationsfortheinstallationofradiantbarriermaterialsinasafeandeffectivemanner.Actualconditionsinexistingbuildingsmayvarygreatlyandinsomecasesadditionalcareshouldbetakentoensuresafeandeffectiveinstallation.Thisstandardpresentsrequirementsthataregeneralinnatureandconsideredpractical.Theyarenotintendedasspecificrecommendations.Theusershouldconsultthemanufacturerforrecommendedapplicationmethods.1.1Thisstandardhasbeenpreparedforusebythedesigner,specifier,andinstallerofRBS(radiantbarriersystems)foruseinbuildingconstruction.ThescopeislimitedtorecommendationsrelativetotheuseandinstallationofRBSincludingasurface(s)normallyhavingafar-infraredemittanceof0.1orless,suchasmetallicfoilormetallicdepositsunmountedormountedonsubstrates.Someexamplesthatthisstandardisintendedtoaddressinclude:(1)lowemittancesurfacesinventedorunventedbuildingenvelopecavitiesintendedtoretardradianttransferacrosstheairspace;(2)lowemittancesurfacesatinteriorbuildingsurfacesintendedtoretardradianttransfertoorfrombuildinginhabitants;and(3)lowemittancesurfacesatinteriorbuildingsurfacesintendedtoreduceradianttransfertoorfromradiantheatingorcoolingsystems.Seefortypicalexamplesofuse.1.2Thisstandardcoverstheinstallationprocessfrompre-installationinspectionthroughpost-installationprocedure.Itdoesnotcovertheproductionoftheradiantbarriermaterials.(SeeSpecificationC1313.)1.3Thisstandardisnotintendedtoreplacethemanufacturer''sinstallationinstructions,butshallbeusedinconjunctionwithsuchinstructions.Thispracticeisnotintendedtosupercedelocal,state,orfederalcodes.1.4Thisstandardassumesthattheinstallerpossessesagoodworkingknowledgeoftheapplicationcodesandregulations,safetypractices,tools,equipment,andmethodsnecessaryfortheinstallationofradiantbarriermaterials.ItalsoassumesthattheinstallerunderstandsthefundamentalsofbuildingconstructionthataffecttheinstallationofRBS.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSectionsand.1.5Whentheinstallationoruseofradiantbarriermaterials,accessoriesandsystems,mayposesafetyorhealthproblems,themanufacturershallprovidetheuserappropriatecurrentinformationregardinganyknownproblemsassociatedwiththerecommendeduseofthecompany''sproductsandshallalsorecommendprotectivemeasurestobeemployedintheirsafeutilization.Theusershallestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
