【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoverscertainmaterialspecificationsforwhichahistoryofdatahasbeenobtainedusingthestandardmicrotensilespecimen.ThespecimengeometryhasbeenchangedtobeequivalenttothatofISO12086-2:1955.Ingeneral,thistestmethodissupersededforgeneralusebyeitherTestMethodsD882orTestMethodD638.TheverysmallTypeVspecimeninTestMethodD638istherecommendedspecimenwhenlimitedamountsofmaterialareavailable.1.2Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecomparativetensilestrengthandelongationpropertiesofplasticsintheformofstandardmicrotensiletestspecimenswhentestedunderdefinedconditionsofpretreatment,temperature,humidity,andtestingmachinespeed.Itcanbeusedforspecimensofanythicknessupto3.2mm[1/8in.],includingthinfilms.1.3Thistestmethodcannotbeusedforthedeterminationofmodulusofelasticity.Forthedeterminationofmodulus,seeTestMethodD638orTestMethodsD882.1.4Testdataobtainedbythistestmethodarerelevantandappropriateforuseinengineeringdesign.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ThereisnoequivalentorsimilarISOstandard.
