【摘要】:Theglasstransitionisdependentonthethermalhistory,softeningagentsoradditivesofthematerialtobetested.Foramorphousandsemicrystallinematerialstheassignmentofaglasstransitiontemperaturemayleadtoimportantinformationaboutthermalhistory,processingconditions,stability,progressofchemicalreactions,andmechanicalandelectricalbehavior.Thermomechanicalanalysisprovidesarapidmeansofdetectingchangesinhardnessorlineardimensionalchangeassociatedwiththeglasstransition.DimensionalchangesmeasuredasaspecimenisheatedovertheTgregionmayincludetheinteractionofseveraleffects:anincreaseinthecoefficientofexpansion,adecreaseinthemodulus,whichunderaconstantstressleadstoincreasedextension,stressreliefleadingtoirreversibledimensionalchange(shrinkageinonedimension,expansioninanotherdimension),andphysicalagingeffectswhichchangethekineticsofthedimensionalchange.Thistestmethodisusefulforresearchanddevelopment,qualitycontrol,andspecificationacceptancetesting;particularlyoffilmsandfibers.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefortheassignmentofaglasstransitiontemperatureofmaterialsonheatingusingthermomechanicalmeasurements.1.2ThistestmethodmaybeusedasacomplementtoTestMethodE1545andisapplicabletoamorphousortopartiallycrystallinematerialsintheformoffilms,fibers,wires,etc.thataresufficientlyrigidtoinhibitextensionduringloadingatambienttemperature.1.3Thegenerallyapplicabletemperaturerangeforthistestmethodisx2212;100to600x00B0;C.Thistemperaturerangemaybealtereddependingupontheinstrumentationused.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5ThereisnoISOmethodequivalenttothismethod.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
