【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiesrequirementsforchemicalandphysicalproperties,andminimumperformancerequirementsoflowexpansionfoamssuitableforsurfaceapplicationtowater-miscibleliquids.Requirementsarealsogivenformarking.IMPORTANT—Inthispartofthedocument,thefireperformanceistestedusingacetoneandisopropanolasthefuel,whichalsoformsthebasisfortheperformanceclassification.However,therearealargenumberofwater-miscibleliquids,whichhavemoreorlessdifferentpropertiestoacetoneandisopropanol.Ithasbeenshownbytestsusingotherfuelsthattheperformanceofvariousfoamscandifferconsiderably.ExamplesofsuchfuelisMethylEthylKetone(MEK).Itisthereforeessentialthattheuserchecksforanyunfavourableorunacceptablelossofefficiencywhenthefoamisusedagainstfiresinanyotherwater-misciblefuelsthanacetoneandisopropanolresepectively.ThefiretestconditionsandproceduregiveninJ.2canbeusedinordertoachieveresultscomparativewithacetoneandisopropanolresepectivelyandrelatedrequirements.Itisalsoessentialfortheusertonote,thatotherfueldepthsandmethodsofapplicationthanthosespecifiedinI.2,cancauseconsiderablelossofefficiencyandthesemattersshouldbecarefullyconsideredbytheuserwhenassessingthesuitabilityforparticularapplications.
