【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversagroupofcommonrequirementswhich,unlessotherwisespecifiedinthepurchaseorderorinanindividualspecification,shallapplytocarbonandalloysteelbarsundereachofthefollowingASTMspecifications(orunderanyotherASTMspecificationwhichinvokesthisspecificationorportionsthereof):1.2Incaseofanyconflictinrequirements,therequirementsofthepurchaseorder,theindividualmaterialspecification,andthisgeneralspecificationshallprevailinthesequencenamed.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.1.4Forpurposesofdeterminingconformancetothisspecificationandthevariousmaterialspecificationsreferencedin,dimensionalvaluesshallberoundedtothenearestunitintheright-handplaceoffiguresusedinexpressingthelimitingvaluesinaccordancewiththeroundingmethodofPracticeE29.Note1SpecificationA29previouslylisteddimensionaltolerancesforcold-finishedbars;thesearenowfoundinSpecificationA108.
